Why are you looking for just a slip-on? You should get a complete exhaust.

getting ready to install my SuperTrapp IDS-2 on my 01 300ex in a couple of minutes. I will let you know how it is when i am done. O and with the IDS-2 it is not nessacary to reject. And they offer a Race Series (loud and what i got) and a Quite Series. Any exhaust with the disc system does not need to be rejeted

With any good performance exhaust, you'll need to rejet. The basic reason for getting a new exhaust, especially one to increase performance, is that it allows the engine to move more air. With the increased airflow from a performance exhaust and air filter, you will need to rejet the carburetor.

Stay away from Cobra exhausts, they're junk. I used one on my uncles 85 LT230, because it was the only exhaust available for it. The paint on the headpipe burns off after about 15 minutes, makes it look really crappy. They also blow all the packing out everytime you rev it up. They're just a really poorly built pipe.

i put the exhaust on and it sounds awesome. It is just as loud as stock when it is idleing and it only gets loud in high RPMS. but it is a deep throaty sound, not really that much different from stock mabey a little. And it comes with a spark arrestor disc.

the price of the pipe was 319.95 from http://www.worldwideperformance1.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=WWP&Product_Code=ST-IDS2&Category_Code=SUPERTRAPP-EXHAUST And there are definetly good power gains.

if you are ever going to do any engine work dont get a slip-on. O I forgot to mention that the IDS 2 uses discs so you can adjust it for sound or power. With the HMF you are stuck with one sound, :ermm:

For a slip-on pipe.
The HMF is nice.
But, I'd also reccomend the WhiteBro's E-Series. Pretty cheap and a good "adjustable" silencer.

I'd reccomend either one equally.

But I of course prefer the Sparks X-4 full system. ;) But, I have a highly moddified engine.

As a note.. you WILL definatley need to rejet for any pipe/silencer change away from stock.
