that would just be a wastew of time and money...20inch tires fit 9inch rims like 18inch tires on 8 inch rims....if your gonna get and 8 inch rim get 18's...personally ive seen that the 9 inch rim with 18s corner better because there is less sidewall roll

Agree. get 18's and 8's or get 20's and 9's.

Get the 18's unless clearance is an issue. Less rotating mass, less unsprung weight, and the sprockets can jsut be regeared to have the same end ratio as the set of 20's.

If clearance is an issue.. why not 22's?

I agree. If you are going to use 20" tires use 9" wheels.

They're right, unless you've gotten a really good deal on some 8 inch beadlocks or something I would just sell the rims and get 9's.

well what's the big deal with the one inch difference in rim size. I'm kind of broke so can't afford 9's at the moment, and where I ride i need 20's

With the smaller rim there is a larger sidewall on the tire, so the tire will tend to roll in turns more than one with a 9 inch rim. Save up the money to get the 9's.
