Starting trouble

For some reason when i try to start my quad, the starter just spins out. I took the case off of the starter, and there is nothing that looks worn because the shaft is still grabbing the gears fine. My guess it that it has to be something with the motor. Anyone know wut could be wrong? :confused:

flywheel key is wat im thinking it probably is

it makes the flywheel stay in time and turn something lol
