Any good metal fabricator should be able to do it.

My friend modified his Roll design frame to fit a 450r motor in it.
According to him it is a lot of work, but it can be done if you have the skills.

bobby,
hybrids are badass but alot of money to build and you could have a real nice yfz fully built for what it would cost or a 450r if you would rather ride red.

well it has all the parts already, all it needs to be converted to take a yzengine. i can sell my powervalve engine to cover most of the expenses..

I'd say the same, but most people don't have the cash to buy Walsh chassis' Lou

If you have already spent a ton of cash on suspension and everything else, go for it man!!

I am doing that too since I cannot upgrade my quad any further and I know I will lose too much if I try to sell it. And spend a lot again if I buy a new or newer 4 stroke.

I'd say go for it!!

i totally understand that, you dont have to get a walsh.lonestar still makes a crf chassis that is reasonable priced.even a 400ex frame is better then modding an R frame

dont like the 400ex chassis hybrids, dont know y, just doesnt apeal to me..

i already have pro-traxx front end, swingarm and pep zps all around, so it would be cheaper for me to get the frame modded..

It's much harder to modify the 250r chassis for a 4 stroke engine than a 400ex just because of the engine height.

Would the R chassis be harder to convert because of the mounting points? I thought the heigth factor only matter when trying to mount a crf in an R frame?

I raced, sitting out for 2 months really kills your endurance, by the end of the 2nd lap I was given out and just riding around slow haha. Come race Archers Lodge this weekend man.

Also Alex, I would just buy an aftermarket YZ frame that had 250r geometry (sell your frame and engine) if you really wanted to have the converted setup.
