is there a big weight diffrence between 4 ply and 6 ply tires? something that you notice when riding? because i was thinking from going from stock 4 plys to a 6 ply tire like mabe holeshot hds or something... but i heard they were a bit heavier so i was wondering would i loss any tourque or speed if i got 6 plys?

so it doesant slow you down or take away some power? was there any big diffrence between stock tires and 6 ply tires? like wear, weight, etc... i already now there will be a big diffrence in durablity... they wont get torn or puctured as easily

i didnt notice anything. stock tires wear much faster than the hd's. i have had mine since last august and still have 65% left and ride like everyweekend. if you ride alot of roads then they wont last as long as mine are. i ride trails and barely any rode. the durability is awsome. once these are shot, im buying another set.

yeah there is 2plys difference :blah: most people use 4ply for MC and 6ply for XC. Yeah the 6ply way a little more but you will rarely puncture the belly of the tire, or the sidewall. Where as 4plys tires sidewalls punture easily. Most stock tires are 2ply tires if u ride lots of sticks and rocks they won't hold up too long. For trail and XC riding I would go 6ply all the way. Will be worth it in the long run.

i have carlisle badlands, which are 2 ply, and i ride alot of roads, the front ones suck, but the rear ones have like 95 % tread left on them, and i have had them for a little more than a year, dont know how, but i do! :D
