As most people know the original 250R seat covers are impossible to find.

Honda didn't make replacement covers with the logos on them but made year neutral seat covers.

Even CEET who used to have 250R on their covers have ceased to include that on their aftermarket covers.

Check this out for 89 seat cover logo restoration on the new CEET seat covers. I'm going to enquire about an 87/88 seat logo.

I don't know why Honda makes their seat covers black now but it would work on them too.

This post would only really be interesting to those who want to restore their 250R's to original condition. But they got back to me and they can do custom work for the 88 seat covers but it runs over $100. Considering you can't buy those seat covers anymore it might be worth it.

I made my own 88 logo using my printer.
It turned out pretty good, that is a factory Honda seat cover. That's how Honda sells them now all blank.
If you are going to try it yourself make sure you clean the seat surface with oil and grease remover and use vinyl paint.

That's a nice looking 88. You should get the white hood and back fender decals made to make it look complete.

? Obviously it's pretty hard to reproduce sicne you didn't get it exactly but how did you get the outline in the first place?

I found a picture of a stock 250r and zoomed in on the seat logo, then I resized it using the program my printer came with.
Then I printed it on a piece of thick paper and cut it out to make a stencil. It is important for the stencil to be held tight against the seat. I used some 3M spray glue on the back of the stencil (I tested the glue first to make sure it would peel off easily later). The hard part is finding a clean picture to start with. I am going to try to make a better stencil once I find a better picture.

Trying to find a new seat or cover for my 88 has been burning a hole in my head. Anthony, you are on to somthing there. The shop I'm working at has a graphics department which has all the hi-power Apple computers, printers and vinyl cutters. Your idea would be great cut out in vinyl as a stencil. Probibly wouldnt be that much work for the right graphics guy to make an exact reproduction of that fourtrax logo.

The logo on my seat is a silkscreened repop that is peeling. I recently installed a second seat with a Ceet cover with 89 logo, and put the seat with the Fourtrax logo into storage.
