I heard the 450r shocks on the 400ex make it sit up higher, anybody have pics or information on that?

i did it, sorry dont have pics, will 2morrow if this thread is still good, i tihnk it makes it alittle higher but not noticeable, if u dont mine grinding alittle then id do it, cheaper than other options

awesome, get my some pics. I don't mind grinding, i'm just worried about them getting weak from the grinding

they wouldnt get weak...you grind them off the top, the amount you grind off wont affect anything

i bet in all 5 topics you are talking about someone said search. some topics need to be reposted because of the newbies asking questions.

a buddy has a 400ex with 450r shocks and he had them converted over to a works setup and it rides real nice. he says they are just as good as triple rate works w/rezzys.

havnt had a chance to hit anything good since i got em on, between tropical storms, work, and school plus most of the guys i ride with have been outta town, but it rides woops and whatnot alot better

Why don't you just buy shocks made for a 400ex?

yea really, people here are parting out ex's all the time. Just grab some nice used shocks if money is the problem.

cause aftermarkets are more expensive than 450 "takeoffs"..

the 450 "takeoffs" are better than stock 400EX shocks..

Shop around for the deals. I've got Elka's all the way around on my YFZ for under $400.;)

The rear is a converted stocker and the fronts are only a few months old. Find a racer getting out of the sport and you can find some great deals.
