Get a web stage 2 cam, bore it .080 over, get a weisco 11:1 compression piston, 400ex carb. for suspension get rid of the 400ex front a-arms. If you have the money get some +3 ASR 300ex A-arms, and some cheap works off of eBay, a Raptor rear shock and a G-force axle.

For motor go with the FST 330 kit unless you wanna race at nationals. Get a web cam stage 2, and a GOOD port and polish. For the carb, I dnno what to tell ya, I have been through like 5 different carbs and I am sick of it... Just keep the stocker or get an edelbrock.

For suspension, what you have now is fine. But if you want to get serious with your 300 and sink some big money into it look into some asr +3's and some elka shocks. If you want the cheap way out, just get rid of your stock 400 shocks and get aftermarket 400 shocks. Then get an LSR axle, and tapered bearing carrier and your good to go.

oh and I have no idea if that exhaust you have is any good, so get a sparks x-4. Its the best pipe available for the 300.

that exhaust is an import from england...my sponsers sent me it to try it and i liked it, its the same type they run in the street bikes at the races so its got some power behind it thanks everyone else...

dont use 250r parts. i know first hand. i had a honda 250r front end on my 300 and it sucked. steering sucked and nothing worked right. just from what i learned. you would have to do some major fabricating to get it to work right, not worth it.

1. front arms for a 300ex

2. front shocks (elaka works etc...)

3. rear shock

4. gear it better

5. TC shorty

6. lectron

7. work the airbox

don't overdoo the engine, because if your suspension can't handle a double when you only hitting it out of a corner at 25 mph max...then that 2000 dollar engine is worthless....that is unless you plan to race up a down country roads that are straight

think suspension first
