I havent seen a post like this, sorry if it has already been posted.

I was just letting everyone know an aftermarket 400ex swingarm WILL mount up to a 450r with no modifications. The sprockets do line up too.

If your switching form a race ready 400ex to a stock 450r...you can take your 400ex swingarm, axle, carrier, etc etc. and mount it to the 450r, you will just need a 450r shock and link.

Once again, sorry if its been posted, just trying to help someone out or save someone a little money..

The 450 stock arm is longer than the 400 stock arm though, you can put the 450 arm on the 400 and look stock and gain about an inch or so.

Dont know how old this thread is but i got a question:o.

Ok i want to do it. If i was to buy a 450r stock swing arm what has to be dune? Do i have to buy the whole 450r rear end for it to work cause i know the linkage/break calipers/ are differant or can i use the 400ex parts?

Axle?

About the linkage needing to be a 400ex linkage well why? If i dont change it will it lower me? Cause i run a 10.5 travle rear shock (stock like 9.5 or sum) on a stock linkage so that extra travle ins't helping me with out a differant linkage.

If i need the 450 axle then im not doing it.
