mine is blown now and they shop said i need a new cylidner cause you cant bore 450r cylidners but mine dont look to bad i was wondering if you i should or not beacause i want to order the stuff tomorrow and rebuild it so its done for the rausch creek ride.

I was going to just order a pipe, cam, piston, valves, and gaskets and keep my head and cylinder and see if it last.Whats your guys opion on that.

Heres an idea.....bore it out to a 480 and have it renikosiled.

Maxx Power does the bore and plate for like less than what it would cost for a new cylinder from honda. Need it quicker, they will do a rush 4 day turnaround for an additional $75.00 more. More power that is very reliable and you are up and running.

Unless your connecting rod is stuck into the side of the cylinder it can be bored.......get another shop to do your work, one that doesnt lie!

yea they said its nickle plated and you cant bore 450rs so they said i need a new clyinder, i know i already need a head cause me valve is bent but i wasnt sure about the cylinder i thought i could bore it and just get a bigger piston.

what you guys think i should:confused:

A bent valve does not mean you need a whole new head either. Perhaps some new valves and valve guides and some seat work.

I think you really should consider getting your motor back, paying them for what ever they have done already, and RUN LIKE HELL to another shop. Your getting jerked around i think.
