engine boggs down?

When i take off my z400 is really doggy until i hit upper RPM's. Its like its bogging down and then it starts going when i hit upper RPM's. Is it getting to much fuel or something?

on my raptor it would bog when i start and i couldnt keep it pinned and stuff but the i found out it was the parking brake assembly and they r a pain

It sounds like you need to clean the carb out...my buddies quad had the same exact thing...and all he did to it was clean it out and, put "sea foam". in it and it ran like a champ!!!!!!!!!

If it runs good in the high RPMs it shouldn't be your jetting because carbs work by throttle postition (0-1/8 = pilot, 1/8-3/4 = needle, 3/4-WOT = main).

Check and see if it is really affected by your RPMs or throttle position.

it misses out sometimes too
