Raptor cdi

I am wondering if anyone knows if the 01 and 02 Raptor CDI's are interchangeable. My buddy has an 01 Raptor and his CDI burned out and I have someone trying to sell me a CDI off of an 02 and am wondering if it would work on an 01??..Can anyone tell me an answer on this for sure before he wastes any money..let me know asap..Thanks

go to bike bandit and check the part numbers, if the numbers are the same than it should be okay

Thank you!! I will check now.. Even if they are different #'s though doesnt mean they wont work..Has anyone done put an 02 CDI on an 01??

I just checked the #'s and they are completely different..They look the same though and all the aftermarket ones say for 01-05...Anyone know for sure??
