Well im seriously thinking about trading the 450r for a 250 (265r). I have always wants a old 2 stroke and the one im looking at is pretty nice. I was just wondering how power on a PC2000 265 pv R compairs to the new 4 strokes. I know the pv helps smooth out power but does it still pull like a 2 stroke? Were the pc2000 motors good kits? and how often do i need to rebuild this?

Also it has LRD alumnihum frame is this a good choice for aftermarket frame? any problems with fatigue or failure?

yes, there are/were issues with the lrd link frames, for whatever reason (above my head) getting the rear shock adjusted for them is nearly impossible and some really well know shock builders/re-builders will not even attempt to valve a shock for that frame.

there is a guy in here who had an lrd link frame, he could not get the back to stop riding like a rock, several guys would not build/re-vavle his shock cause of a known issue and he got rid of it and is now running a arens frame

i think you are a little overboard with that, i have the one on my bike, no rust and a spare in the attick in great condition, i think maybe if the machine were in the north and left out side it might be of concern

not to mention, even an aftermarket frame can be fairly old and there is still no guarentee of how it was maintained/kept
