Wave rotors?

I am needing to replace the front rotors on my XC machine. I would like to know if they will take the abuse of xc racing. I know they are designed to reduce heat but what about the strength to withstand trees and rocks? Are their any others are as good or better?

I know better priced rotors are the Streamlines and ones from Hertz Racing. I've heard a lot of good things about the Hertz...
