WTH is wrong with my bike

I was riding down the road and it ran outta gas, I then put on reserve and kicked it over for 15 mins and it wouldnt start? can anyone tell me what is wrong with it? (it starts now, i just dont want to know if i actually have a reserve or if yamaha screwed me over lol)

have you ever had to take your tank off and remove the nob on the petcock? if you have you coulda put the nob on wrong and it was really in reserve the whole time. your reserve intake could also be clogged not alowing gas to get through.

check your fuel lines to see if they're crushed in any way, if not, what they said.

I'm not sure with yamahas but if you take the petcock out there is a filter attached to it and if it gets clogged your reserve wont work
