better airbox?

im tryin to make my own airbox that has the battery in it the aftermarket are just way too expensive 200+ bucks is craxy!! is there any plastic ones or less expensive ones that also hold the battery cause i really want one thanx:huh

You are better off just makin your own, you can check ebay to for a good deal. I had a custom airbox for my R that my dad's friend made out of aluminum. It was basicly just a sheild for my filter, it did its job well till I broke it:blah If you are making your own I would recomend using plastic. It will not crack like aluminum and is cheaper and eaiser to fix if you damage it. Make sure it clears your shock linkage and caliper and sproket in case you bottom out REALLY hard. That is what led to the demise of mine.

email bigbore81 he makes aluminum boxes for 400ex's that hold the battery for $105 and they won't hit the swingarm, caliper, etc...I now cuz I got one and if it was gonna hit it would have by now..:eek:
