Clutch cable Question

I was just wondering where i am supposed to run my clutch cable because me old cable was touching the pipes which melted the rubber, so which route is it supposed to go? thanks

When i got an aftermarket head pipe on my old 03 400ex i had the same problem and i just bent that little hook that holds the cable but it would still touch sometimes. I bought some header tape from auto zone and wrapped the cable with it and never had any more trouble.

Make sure it is in the clip on the heat shield, and that it runs closer to the oil tank, and goes under the headers to the mount.
