need answer!

hey guys i just changed the spark plug in my 300ex and the thing wont stay running and it blows black smoke. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

i know this is in the wrong forum but i need answers and no one is ever in the powertrain forum

if its smoking u probly need new rings and check ur spark plug u might need jetting

It started doing this AFTER you changed the plug or did you change it and it didn't help the problem.

Check the choke.

after i put the new plug in it started doin it
and the only way it will stay running is with the choke on and me on the throttle

Might be a bad plug, put the old one back in and try it.

did you properly gap the plug

its this, different engines require different gaps of the plugs. most spark plugs come pre-gapped if you buy it at a dealer for your bike.

is it the right plug

do you know which way is tighten and which way is loosen
