Hey my friend has a 400ex and he just got an hmf slip on....wen he went to take off blue smoke came out of the pipe...does he have to re jet? :eek2:

no...that means he is burning oil...either the cylinder is scratched up...or his rings r going out

does it smoke when he revvs, and then lets off the throttle? if so, it could be his valve seals, what happens is when he rams the throttle, the intakes valves seap oil from the suction, and then when he lets off, the oil burns

but if it smokes nonstop, its most likely the rings

did he buy the buy used? oil could be in it from the previous owner and its burning off
