What cfm is it? You might be better off keeping the injection and modding it. You'll need a new intake manifold a 4 barrel might be too much for the 4.3

I would say that you have to buy an aftermarket intake manifold thats made for that. why are you wanting to convert?

intake, new induction, get a mechanical fuel pump, get rid of your O2's, MAS air flow and all that, you'll have to keep your computer though for crank sensors and all that internal stuff so, have fun

i'd get like a 600cfm or less, unless she hogs gas like major heck

First year 4.3's (85) came with a 4bbl Q-jet in passanger cars and trucks and boats used the Q-jet for some years after that so used parts to do this are out there. Edelbrock also makes 4bbl manifolds for the 4.3
It's hard to beat a V8 it just depends on how fast you want to go and how much you want to spend on fuel.

the 305 in my truck has a 600 edelbrock..its almost too much carb, lugging it around town it wants to load up on me, most of the time in town(around 35mph) i have to keep it in 2nd gear (700r4 4 speed auto+overdrive) to keep it wound up a little
