what kinda gun and oven do u use

i have a few different guns, depending on what is needed. i still use a house oven for small parts, a 4 x 7 homemade oven and just ordered a 6 x 8 oven for even larger parts.

what type of gun u use for small parts and for frame is ur homemade one gas or elec.i like to get a gun to do small part on my quad just don't know what to go with.and maybe my frame later.u got any picks of the oven

a simple kit from www.eastwoodcompany.com will get you started, and there are even 110v ovens now available from places like harbor frieght etc. that will allow you to do most small parts.

my ovens are electric.

how many watts of elements do you have in the homemade oven. and where'd you get the elements? i have an oven, but no heating for it. i talked to a guy that sells elements, and he said with that size oven(i think it's about 6x9) would need about 100kw of heating elements for it. and about $3000 to get the stuff from him

the first oven had 4 oven elements in it. it would take around 45 minutes to reach peak temp and will cure all day long at anywhere from 400-450 degree's depending on where i want it.

i honestly forgot where we ordered the elements, but an appliance repair shop can get them easily. a 6 x9 oven is pretty dang big and i dont know if these would handle it unless it was well insulated etc.

i actually prefer the oven purpose built for frames over the commercially built ovens. it may take a bit more of my attention to monitor temps but it works and works well.

that's what i have, and it works pretty good for the money. id say get that one for now, to see if ya like pc'ing. that way if ya don't, you won't be out a bunch of $$.
