friend killed on quad

my buddy derek was killed today on his blaster...there are many stories going around but ill try and explain.

I've heard that he was going up a road i know the road it isnt very wide. there was a penn dot truck coming at him and he didnt have time to swerve. from what i hear he just got his blaster motor rebuilt and was seeing how fast it would go. he had a helmet on but when he hit the truck his face hit off the truck and snapped his neck he flew back 20 feet and died instantly.

derek was wearing a helmet and please dont bash on him u dont know how hard it is to loose a friend that was only 15 years old and that uve known ever since kindergarden.

please pray for his family and his best friend who was there to see derek get hit and killed.

that sucks.. but.. i have a feeing he was suffering from the "its not going to happen to me" syndrome that a lot of people have..

when you ride on the road, helmet or no, things like this can happen.. and people think its so cool to ride on the road..

let this be a lesson the next time yall think your going out onto a clear road.

i know what its like to loose a friend, its just like,.................wow, makes ya really think, and how it happened and everything

just look on the positive side and things will turn out for the best

yeah, he's prolly up there talkin to Kelly Chang right now, lol

hope you and his family make it threw and look back at the good times

and just think, he died doing something he loved

i bet the friend who saw him went into shock, that would be a horrible thing to see, and if it was your friend it would be worse

thanks guys u all just need to realize absolutely nothing in life is guarenteed...i never ever ever thought something like this would happen to me i mean u hear about other ppl u dont know em so screw it well just think if it happened to u, how ur parents and family and friends would feel. be safe guys if ur gunna be on the roads go slow and keep ur head up.

seems like many a accidents happen after one modifies their quad and wants to see what it will do...

a buddy of mine got parylyzed on a 4x4 quad after taking it down a road after he put a pipe on it

it is real hard to lose a friend. the worst for me so far was my dog but i know that later i will lose some friends and family that i love very much. he is probably up in heaven riding right now. you and his family are in my prayers.

hey bro srry to hear that. I know how u feel, about a year ago my buddys and i were all at a party one of my friends got into a fight with his girlfriend. Next miniute we all get a phone call that are buddy passed away. He got so mad that he went and committed suicide. What he did was laid down on one of the bussiest rodes in our town and two cars ran him over, crushed his head and legs. Just figured id share that with u guys. Pray for the two of them guys.

Also, Im sorry to hear about your loss...I think alot of us can safely say weve tried to top out our quads on the road at one point or another. Unfortunately for him, the result was tragic.

Man sorry to hear that.A couple months ago,my friend got killed,he just had his 400ex "modified" and when he wentto get it,he went down the busy road to try it out,and he wasnt on the road 15 seconds before he got sideswiped into a tree.

I dont know how to say this , but.. when someone dies doing what we alll love, and there is a thread made in his honor, its common decency to keep the piss-fest out of the thread, it ruins the original post and just isnt a way I like to read about someone goin'-out:rolleyes: If I die riding, and by some chance someone were to make a post about it... I just hope ppl who had chitty things to say wouldn't post in my thread:( It just sours things that much more. Honor the dude whether you knew him, agree'd w/ him or not, in a way he was a brother to us all... he died "riding"

Where do you live?!:eek2: Cuz the same thing just happend right by my house about 5 mins away..kid was ont he road behind a penndott truck and turned around to see if anything was comin and the truck stoppedn and he flew into it and was killed.
