mini question

i got a trx90...my son was riding through a field and it just died on him like it ran out of gas...the gas was still full but now i'm not getting any spark in the plug,can a coil go bad just like that??if it even is the coil is there any way of checking it???

Check for obvious things first. you said your getting gas. Is it on reserve ? check the killswitch, check all the grounds make sure there all tight and clean. Coils can go bad like that..So its a possibility. but check all of those things first. It might have even fouled the plug. check that also. check the airbox and such. if you have testers for wires and such you could see if the coil is still good that way. my dad has them but I forget the exact name. hope I could help.

i double checked all the wires and tightend down the ground...put a new plug in it...just can't get any spark out if it...i know what kind of tester you're talking about,i'm gonna have to get on off of a friend...thanks for the info
