everyone post what torque specs you know for the 86 250r engine. all of the torque specs would be nice cuz i dont have my manual yet and i need to put my motor back together. thanks ahead of time

Engine mounting brackets: 8mm 18-25ft lbs.
10mm 36-43ft lbs.

Cylinder head nuts: 17-21ft lbs.

Cylinder base nuts: 27-35ft lbs.

Alternator Rotor: 47-54 ft lbs.

Primary driver gear: 29-36ft lbs.

Drive Sprocket: 22-25ft lbs.

If you need some for the clutch and shift mechanism:
Clutch Locknut: 40-47ft lbs.

Kickstarter Bolt: 14-25ft lbs.

Shift Drum Center Bolt: 14-17ft lbs.

what about the 5 bolts that hold the clutch plates and stuff in?

My clymer manual doesn't have a torque spec for those, it just states....tighten the bolts securely in a crisscross pattern in 2-3 steps. I wouldn't think very much torque is required 10-15ft. lbs. would be more then enough.

yea i dont wanna do what my cousin did to his. he told me 10 ft/lbs and i was torqing it and it broke before it got to 10 on his yfz.
