What is a fair price for a cylinder that needs replated?

Thats a tough one because a new cylinder is around $300 and if I remember right a replate is around $175

Ya I know, I'm just curious what they are worth. If you are going to go big bore than you have to ruin a stock one any way.this way I could keep the 450 for nationals and have a 520 for locals!

A 520 comes with a new cylinder. You can't bore out a stock cylinder for the 101mm piston.

Go to www.314racing.com and e-mail Darrin, I guarantee you can get a factory cyl. for around $200.
They are closed on monday though.Tell him i sent ya.
