Cut it in half and rivet the end cap back on.

I had a Pro Circuit pipe on my old 03ex and it was pretty loud but my hmf on my 450 is louder. It's almost to loud but i love the way it sounds.

I was just joking. You don't need a louder pipe.

Alloy, have you ever seen a TC Shorty? If you have, what do you think it is? A Supertrap cut in half.

People make shorty pipes all the time. If you want it louder, that's what you can do.

You can take out the spark arrestor and possibly the quiet core if you have one.

There made the way they are to acheive as much gain as possible. When you cut it in half,is it the same pipe? no. you might gain top end, loose bottom, and so on. But wahoo! lets hack er in half to make it rumble!!

I guess you better go tell Tom Carlson and the rest of the TC Racing Crew that they are doing things all wrong...even though they build some of the best motors out there.

Making the pipe shorter does make it louder, gives you more grunt on the bottom end as well. You lose top end hp but if you're into mx that's nothing. Had to cut my GYTR b/c the screws backed out causing the pipe to seperate and damaged it on one end. Cut about 3 - 4 inches and it made it louder and gave it more bottom end hit.
