This sux, I have the HMF Bill Ballance Pipe and absolutely love it. Yesterday I finally got the PRM rear grab bar I always wanted and the pipe hangs just low enough that it deposits carbon on the bar. Also sux that you cant grab the bar because its hot... Has anyone else had a similar problem. I know other HMF silencers have turned down exit pieces. My Bill Ballance pipes exit is straight and shoots exhaust out and up instead of out and down. Are other HMF tips compatible with this pipe. Maybe thats an easy solution. Ill try to get some pics up tomorrow so you guys can see my dilemma

Yes Hight Flyer, thats EXACTLY how mine is set up. Very frustrating. I guess ill have to either deal with it or change the tip.

Because it was a diffrent exhaust they figured they go with a diffrent end cap.

I love it. Only downside is the carbon buildup but other than that it sounds great and I noticed a significant amount of increase in low end. The top end still feels the same but if I wanted to offset it, I wold just do a sprocket change.

No, it wont work on these. They are already straight exit. I wish it was that simple. I think a turndown tip might look a little ***gish on the end so I might just deal with it. I always wash my Rex when I get in from a day of riding anyway

i am thinking about getting an hmf sport series pipe and i was wondering... when you wheelie or flip and hit the grab bar does the pipe touch the ground and get damaged or does the grab bar not let it? because the stock pipe never touches the ground when it hits the grab bar and i would not like it if a new pipe bends or get dented the first couple of days...

nope, the pipe doesnt hit the ground when the 400 is on the grab bar.

Ya, my HMF cleared my factory grab bar long before I added the extended PRM one. Now I have plenty of space and never worry about the pipe or the toolbox
