cleaning the radiator

like usual my radiator will be full of mud by the time i get off the trails. what is the best way to clean it?
i usually just spray it off with the hose but i am wondering if there is a better way

i just use the water. i dont even use the sprayer thing that goes on the end i just use the running water. i really dont want to damage the fins (PITA to straighten out!)

How about spraying something like simple green on it before hosing it off. That works for me!
