im in a bad situation. im 16 and i have some money saved up to buy a car but now my step dad just bought an older grand am that he said i could have. and i was wondering if i should just drive that and use the money to buy stuff for my 400 or i should do what i saved up for and buy a car. but if i dont get a new car i use the money fopr a fourwheeler i cant decide wheather to but more stuff for my 400ex or if i should save up and buy a 450r. i was wondering if it woiuld be worth it to maybe take my 400 to a 440 or 465. please any help would be greatly appreiciated. thanx
stick with a crap car for ur first, u don't wanna crash a nice one and only have liability, or get hit by immigrants without insurance, so go for stuff for quad, or 450, and trust me get the bore kit, otherwise u gotta buy stuff u already have for the 450:macho

Dont get the bore kit waste of money. Trust me i know. If your machine is basically stock you may gain 1-2 hp on peak top end? not woth the hassle. Just open the motor up and let it breath. Ive raced plenty of guys on 440ex's and z440's and 416s and what not. Most of em just had a pipe to and got smoked. Open the motor and youll be plenty happy.

Buy a car first .... It'll make you feel good that you bought your OWN car , not a hand-me-down .

drive the grand am for a while and keep saving your money because you may get out of riding. A lot of people stop riding when they turn 16 so dont dump money into your 400, its not worth it. The re sale value on 400s seems to go down every month so if i were you i would sell the 400 as soon as possible. What ever you do just dont put money into the ex unless you later plan on doing some sort of a hybrid

Get a Four wheeler. Do alot of mods on it.....and make it road legal. My freind told me thats possible. But what do you have to do to make it road legal?
