Anyone have the 06 yet?

the dealer i work for now has a 2006 YFZ and a Raptor 700R!!

Ill be riding the raptor tomorrow, but when i rode the yfz, the first thing i noticed was the seat!

Personally, I dont think it will be noticably faster. I know they made the stroke longer so the main advantage is probably more torque.

I heard that there are recalls for the 700r's. Not really sure what it is for. The 06 YFZ are already out as I know somebody that owns one already. I really like their dual piston caliper out in the back. Its like 10x better. Im jealous:grr:

The dealer i work at now has 3 Raptor 700R's in addition to the 06 yfz, i rode the yfz, didnt seem any faster, the only thing i really noticed was the seat....the raptor on the other hand....that EFI is NICE!!!

I got one of the first 06 yfz's in utah and without a doubt the swingarm is much better, What i would to know if the rear subframe is different from the 05's? The raptor recall is about some of the first ones had a fuel pump problem yhat was caught before any were sold.

I have one, I too like the swingarm , but am not a huge fan of the seat. I liked my 04's seat better. As for power, I will have to wait to switch my pipe over and do th cam mod to see which is faster.

I just got one.It seems alot easier to ride than the 05's the extra stroke has smoothed it out noticably.Steering isnt as twitchy.I know nobody mx's stock but the suspension settings are also noticeably better.I ran into trouble trying to replace the bars since they extended the stem but not the brake line.The front tires noticably roll in corners.Turning radious seems big.I havent even taken peashooter out yet so take this for what its worth.Very happy with it though.Great prices also out there.

just got mine, seats a little softer and seems to wheelie a little easier. Will know more with more ride time

I picked mine up about two weeks ago, its a good bike I still don't like the thumb throttle but overall sort of satisfied! I only have about 2-3 hours on it so I'll have to get more ride time to give and accurate account!
