JT, have an awesome time. I'd love to get out there sometime. I'm totally jealous now...

4TraxRider, I'd take a ride up if you have a spot up there. This weekend is shot, and you're right I think we're getting some snow anyway. 2/18 should hopefully work out if that's cool with you.

Hey Craig Thanks for Bombing the post with your ADVERTISMENT and do us all a favor and put the correct info on how far the place is , at first I was like cool a place close by only a hour away and then I seen that you used the post as a full advertising page (not cool) and that the real time it takes is .....Total Est. Time: 2 hours, 21 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 107.08 miles
Thats 2 and a half hours where did you get a hour away from? either way Good luck with the place and the season but its just not cool to me when people try and ADVERTISE on posting and especially if it says ONLY A HOUR AWAY and its not.

RMpower
04-20-2006, 07:51 AM
i have an rm250. i ride in the sand pits along the power lin trails, but lately when ever im up there the woman who lives there *****es at me and tells me its he property and the noise is too loud and that i should go somewhere else and ride.....i dont know many other places to ride, so maybe one day over the summer we can meet up and go somewhere ive heard of some abandoned ski hiills thatb are supposofly good and i knwo there is that track down at holiday mtn.

CHIROCHRIS
04-20-2006, 06:51 PM

04-21-2006, 05:39 PM
so have you been to the sand pit off katrina ?

G-MAN-1
04-21-2006, 08:22 PM
the sand pit on katrina falls is getting alot of attention with the local police. people were thrown out by them last weekend and 2 machines impounded. the lady that lives close by is watching it for them. so i would stay away. i was one of them thrown out. and police said they will be watching and anyone caught will be prosicuted. and im not going to pay for an impound fee. or tickets. just a thought guys. also rm there is plenty of nice trails in wanasink. i ride them all the time. my cousin lives on bowers road.

RMpower
04-21-2006, 09:36 PM
yea, i know there are madd good trails there, but the association is starting to ***** at everything, they are getting the sherifs up there to bust us, its not even riding season yet asnd i have already had to run 2 times!! last time i was up in the pits there the lady came out and talked to me for about 10minutes or so, and then i went back later and there were 2 guys, one on a blue yfz450 and another on wat looked to be a 2006 trx450, she was talking to them too! damnit wtf is this world coming too!

jtquad
04-22-2006, 06:33 AM
That sucks guys katrina falls was cool. I bet i know who the blue yfz was. ANyway i know some cops in Rock hill area, i have to see what the deal is and why the sudden crack down on us - JT

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 07:41 AM
what house, what lady...there are no houses around there....and what day was it...saturday or sunday

RMpower
04-22-2006, 12:29 PM
wait guys, when we talk about pits, were talking about the top end of the power line trail, right?? its all sand and has a little stream down the bottom of it?? i think thats wat were talking about.

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 02:19 PM
im not sure if we are talking the same spot....it a huge pit and a big river at the bottom..the neversink river...you can see the ski hill and the other side has a quad track...same spot?

RMpower
04-22-2006, 03:56 PM
damn, we arnt talking about the same place, but i think i know where that is, ive just never gotten over there, is it anygood??

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 05:10 PM
oh man ....you are really missing out...miles and miles of trails, big sand pit, ski hill for racing up and down and cross over(somewhere) and the track is on the other side, there are tons of naked girls giving out free beer and they wash your quad/bike for you...you have been missing out..

ok i made some of it up but the spot is great for being down the road from you...it gets pretty busy on wkends...

you are only 16 is your dad or who ever cool with you riding places?

G-MAN-1
04-22-2006, 05:46 PM
it was satureday. and rmpower i know what sand lot you are talking about. im there a bit. but i ride on bowers road at my cousins place where we have a practice track for my kid. yes katrina falls sand pit is getting alot of exposure do to this site and otheres. keep it silent guys. ive been riding there for about 20 yrs and have seen many changes. and this might be the last time we all ride there.

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 06:10 PM
i have been riding there for 20 yrs also...remember when it use to be the huge *** mountain up top in the middle and the track around the outside with the whoop section...i use to have to drive the road from wolf lake....i here what your saying about the exposer for the last six months or so there have been a group of city kids in there riding most with no helmets...i told them to get helmets so they dont F it for all of us but they didnt...

whats the deal with the pit anyway, who owns that thing, they said they know the owner..

99% of the non locals could never find it. i been there forever and still cant find the spot to cross the river..

G-MAN-1
04-22-2006, 07:25 PM
first of all they cannot know the owner as it is owned by the TOWN OF THOMPSON as you can see there plows are in there. the town owns the whole property. as well as the bottom part. the stone quarry rents the lower half from the town. and there has been many tries to get permission from the town and they will say no. b/c they know to many people that ride there. the town was just notified last week that people have been in there again. they are going to be watching and maybe even putting in survaliance cameras. as i know many town workers. yes that place is nice if the city kids didnt mess it up a few years ago by stating some bad crap with the locals. so i will not be back there to ride. and as far as the river crossing goes. if you ride there thru power lines you should be able to find the crossing spot. its right in the opening. lowest pioint of the power line. maybe we will meet one day in the trails down by the river to the extreme mx track across the river. it a blast there.............any info ill reply

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 08:05 PM
is there more than 1 track on the other side? as soon as they sweep in and bust those city kids, it will be cool again...the problem is one lives local in the summer and wkends and brings his crew in.....i think i know how to cross near the power line

how is the track?

G-MAN-1
04-22-2006, 08:14 PM
there is only one track and it is played. ill be in rock hill in the morning. my best buddy lives on wolf lake road. it is very hard to have a good time down that way anymore. so many none locals. the track is old and hasnt seen a dozer or anything in 17 years. but the DEC patrols that area alot now . that the track abd riding area is known as state land.

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 08:19 PM
i have a place on wolf lake, is your buddy the guy at the bottom of the hill that always has the quads and snowmobiles for sale?

G-MAN-1
04-22-2006, 08:22 PM
yes he is the one. we all race mx. and we had great things going on up there in the pit. but we must stay away for awhile. are you up this way this weekend? ill be online for awhile. watching this post. thanx john g

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 08:41 PM
i have the funniest story for you to tell him, first of all we must know each other cause i stop and talk to him a few times a yr
i remember when he broke his foot a few yrs back.. i know some of his friends--Arnold Sheeley and those guys..
anyway..here is the story

i went to go to my cabin this last wkend with a few friends and our quads and the wolf lake patrol, prez and vice prez of our lake pulled in my driveway before i could even unload the quads and they were like we just passed a new bilaw at the lake saying you cant ride on wolf lake property without being registered with the lake and you need to have a wolf lake sticker or there is a 500 dollar fine to anyone found riding without this sticker..THEY ALSO WANT MORE INSURANCE COVERAGE THAN NY MANDATES...crazy

so i said whats the deal with this and they said there is a group of kids from emerald green who ride on the fields in the back and A FEW GUYS FROM DOWN THE HILL ON WOLF LAKE RD WHO ARE GIVING THEM ALOT OF TROUBLE...i figuired it might be him..this lake is full of a-holes..i told them i was going to just ride the road slow to the other trails and they called the DEC on me! so we left

G-MAN-1
04-22-2006, 08:49 PM
oh boy you know arny you are in trouble.lmao. arnold is like one of my bestest friends. actually dave the guy at the bottom of the hill is one of the guys that got thrown out last weekend with me. well i dont really ride bikes anymore my kid races. yeh ive been friends with dave over 18 yrs. and arnold over 27yrs. we must meet. ill be over at daves on wolf lake road tomorrow some time in the morning. you coming this way this weekend.?

CHIROCHRIS
04-22-2006, 09:01 PM
i was just there today, not hiking back up that way till next wkend..

to much rain for riding and now i dont know where t ride between the pit and wolflake getting crazy i dont know what to do...

any chance you guys have a kids 4 wheeler around for sale, i know he always has stuff for sale..

G-MAN-1
04-22-2006, 09:12 PM

Yup, I'm in deerfield just outside of poland. Where in Ohio are ya? Some of my friends got a place on a farm a couple minutes from me, and the guy that owns the farm has about 15 acres that he isn't using that we are going to build a track on. So far it's just a 15-20 foot table, but it's gonna get better.
