Is there anyone out there who has or rides a crf450? As soon as i sell my warrior i'm going to get a 250r and build a custom crf450 but i don't have any clue where i can find parts for it. Like exhausts, throttle cables, clutch cables and things like that. Is there any websites where they sell things like this?

Dude do you have any idea how much is it going to cost to put that thing together. Buy a 450r and go with that route because they haul ***** after some simple mods.

actually not that much, u can find a brand new 250r frame on service honda for 850, and im sure u can find a crf engine for 1000-1500, and the rest u just buy off ebay.

$800 may sound cheap for a frame, but by the time you figure in all the suspension and all the little nickle and dime bull**** youd be better off getting a 450r, and you wouldnt have to worry about the reliability of the used crf motor

yea that is true. u might be able to still do it under $6000, which is what 450s go for around here.

i know youd probably take more pride in building one yourself but you would be better off just getting a 450r

i' doing one right now. i think that i'm in the neighborhood of about 5500. but i have purchased all after market stuff. i bought a 400ex frame for about 250 off of ebay. in fact everything that i have gotten for this bike has been off of ebay.

hate to tell you, all 250r frames are discontinued and for about 8-10 years. I just looked at service honda's site and they show 86 and 87 frames as available, but I've ordered many parts for trike that didnt' show as discontinued, but were.

Besides a 450r frame is like $450. ;)

Get a 450r frame and put a KTM 520 in it, if you want a badass quad.

Or just get a tricked out 250r. They will ALWAYS be badass. ;)
