I have a 2004 Yamaha Warrior, this is my first ATV, my dad wanted me to learn on this ATV, seeing how it was my first one. I've had it for 7 months, my dad wants me to upgrade to a new atv be4 I race. I want to race n I mostly ride n sand n a little bit on the street:D I need to select a new atv even though this is a yfz forum I was hoping u guys with more expierence could help me out. I rode my friends raptor 660 special edition, he's gonna race that, I didnt rly like it bc i felt like everything was way to spaced out. But i loved the power of wheelieing on the Raptor, should i go with the 06' yfz 450, i want to be able to race it on a track, sand dunes n deep sand, deff the power to wheelie, street a little bit, n trails, wat would be a good choice, alright guys thanx.

Even though it'd a first year production ATV the 700 Raptor sounds very nice.Basically it's a YFZ frame with a larger motor.Only difference between frame geometry is the Raptor is .10in taller.

If your looking forward on racing this year, I would keep your Warrior. It doesnt mean that your on a faster bike and it makes your faster. You have to keep in mind that the people you are racing are probably more experienced with that bike and they are much faster.

I personally saw a 300ex during a 200cc-300cc race over here in Englishtown dominate. This kid is just unbelievable and he impressed me. I think if you believe in yourself and ride walls to the balls with the bike you are used to, you will end up in the podium.

Try racing your Warrior, dont listen to people saying its not a race quad blah blah, tell them, thats why theres classes for them.

yeah...but the highest class is 250+ class, then they have levels of skill, im gonna be in novice i think. but with my warrior i could be ging agaisnst a Rator 700r, but i doubt anybodys first bike is a raptor 700r, novice is one step up from begginer
