Nees Help AND FAST...I have no top end power

Hey guys,

my 400ex is having a problem...its running fine in the low end, but when I got to give it the gas and get into the higher revs, it cuts out...at first I thouhgt it was a air hose that had come disconnected, but I checked...nothing...I dont know what else it could be...any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You change anyhting.. like filter, pipe, cam or even just take the airbox lid off?

Sounds like your main jet in your carb is too lean.

Turn your choke on 1/4 of the way. See if it makes a difference. If it does you're too lean.

It does sound like your main jet is funky. A way to check if it is too rich is to take your airbox lid off and if it runs better your main is too rich.

^Can only be done if you normally run with your airbox lid on.

Take the 17mm cap off the bottom of the carb, after you turn off the gas, and drain it from the carb, take off the 6mm main jet, clean it, and stick it back in. It should run prefect. ;)

see that your jet didnt fall out.
