How reliable are the 450R's? Are the 450R's as relaible as the 400ex's ? Ive herd that 450R's tend to blow up easy and you have to rebuild them after so many hours.

the 450r's are a little bit more higher maintenance than the 400ex's...(I own both) but will last just as long if taken care of properly. If you want a quad that you can just jump on all the time and never have to worry about problems then the 400ex is your quad. If you want a high performance ATV that requires more maintenance (oil changes, coolant, other little things) than get the 450r.

I do alot of road riding, and some trail riding, can they handle alot of miles on the road?

so far mine has held up perfectly (except for me chrashing it and bending the bars) but to get to my trails, you must ride road for a bit, and its fine

just take care of it, and it will last forever

i have the 13:1 piston and try to ride three time in the week and race the weekend. it has run great. just keep your air filter clean. it is the most important part of the bike. i have three filters and run filter skins.
