310 kit???

I am thinking about getting a 310 kit with a better cam and porting and polishing it but I would like to know if anyone has done anything like this and how much more power it adds.Would I have trouble with overheating and how reliable is a 310 kit?

I dont know, but mine just with the stuff i have on it, if i go slow, it gets pretty hot, and you can tell theres a little loss of power :( But thats only in like 1st gear. As long as im going fast, theres no prob.
