Hey I am trying to think of ways to get better MPG out of my truck. I have a spare uni filter and I put it on my truck it fits great so I was wondering if anyone has ever done this and with what results? It should be safe right?

As long as it keeps dirt out and provides more air flow it will give better HP and Gas milage..

It sounds alot better. It will take a tank to see if MPG is better. My fuel injection sounds like a 4 barrel :)

I have a 99 olds alero and i removed the whole airbox in the car and stuck my stock quad filter on the end of it. Not only do i get better gas milage, around 4k rpm's, the 4 cylinder just dosent want to stop! Its a great idea. I was actually trying to make an air dam so the hot air from the motor dosent get sucked in but i'm still working on that.

Air restriction is the worst HP draining thing in 4 stroke...

put on some straight pipes :)
