Some form of beadlocks or reinforced wheels, anti vibe stem and steering stabilizer, and handguards.

what ever you do dont get plain polished aluminum wheels get beed locks or baja rims from itp get either pro armor or prm summit front bumper engine skid plate if your engine needs to have the top end rebuilt go ahead and do that. I probably would get a different pipe

Good Grips, Sturdy handguards, good tires (razr 2s, holeshot h-ds...etc)Beadlock or Reinforced rims, good steering stabilizer, strong set of bars, strong front bumper, full PRM skids (.250 thick skids) for starters.

Suspension/Handling is most important. What Elka's did you get? Get them for all around? From there you will need good wheels, skids (PRM), spider grips help, anti-vibe stem is nice, and the flexx bars are very popular. Handguards are a must I think, mine have save me several times...

Here's a picture of my XC 416...

The handguards were $70 and I got them from C&D. They are the Acerbis Rally Pros...

i have those handguards and i am very pleased with them. they are very strong and of very good quality... i would get a really tough swingarm skidplate- the one i have is 1/4 thick aluminum! and finish the skids with some a-arms and full engine skidplates... some good 6 ply tires would help too with some tough rims.

hey thanks for all the advice guys...but i dont see the purpose of getting new rims.. can someone tell me why they say that?just curious(not putting nebody down) Yeah i have some nice Pro armor .250 thick skids....very pleased with them. I am working for a bumper and engine skid right now..but maybe my dad will help me buy some stuff:p

If you don't get new wheels now then you will be getting them later. Stock wheels are strong, but they bend pretty easy against trees. We(me and my bro) have bent 2 fronts in 4 races. Reinforced wheels will hold up good, and beadlocks are good, especially double beadlocks b/c if you get a flat you don't have to worry with it coming off the rim.

It makes the rearend of the quad not buck over bumps and it soaks up those g-out spots on the trails like you can't imagine.

Overall it makes a better handling quad and makes you look faster....:eek2:

Call GT Thunder and tell Laz Rico sent ya. It'll be much MUCH cheaper than $500 for the rebuild and linkage....;)

Yeah it should be much cheaper then $500 to have the rear done. You will be very happy with that setup. You will want some new front shocks after doing the rear though. You could find some used Triple Rate Elka's with Comp. adjust and have them done by Laz to match the rear, then you would be a great shape.

Brian-250 thanks for the comments. I like the ole 416 a lot. I find myself wanting a 450 a lot, but the 416 is still a blast and does me well. Right now the motor is going through a complete rebuild since 3 gears went out. I also had the Cases pced by Pappy, and polished up the head cover. It should look good when it's done, I have new silver Maier plastic that has about 10 minutes on it before the tranny locked up too. I also have Flexx bars I need to get new clamps for to put on. I can't wait to get some new pictures...

Here is my XC quad. I would have to agree that suspension and tires are the most important thing.
