YA IM REALLY LOOKIN FORWARD TO IT, THE ONLY THING THAT SUX IS THAT YOUR NOT ALOUD TO COMPETE WITH PADDLES AND YOUR EXHAUST HAS TO BE UNDER LIKE 96 db's. I ONLY HAVE ONE SET OF DIRT TIRES TOO, THEY'RE TURF TAMERS. THEY DONT EXACTLY GET GOOD TRACTION IN THE SAND.

I do not know this for a fact, but I have heard that running the stock tires on a 400ex, Raptor, etc. are good tires to run in the sand if you can not run paddles. The light weight of the stockers is preferred over the "most likely" heavier aftermarket tires.
I also assume having good knobbies on them is preferred over bald stockers.
Good luck racing.
I too would love to make the race... Thanks for the info!:)
As for the White Brothers exhaust meeting the 96 restriction, I think you can call White Brothers up and tell them what you have done to your engine, like air filter, compression ratio, bore, etc., and they might be able to tell you if you are under the 96 decibles.
Otherwise, I believe they will have a testing unit at the race.
I am not sure what they will do if you are over their specification.
Let us know any further information on this race!

Do you have a map of the course or a layout of the course, I would like to see it!!
Also can you run sand tires on the front, I saw pictures of last years race and they had sand tires in the front not the back.
Thanks for the info!!!

Stock rear tires. Some are much better than others. Freash new ohstu ,the stock rears on the 88 89 250r,are great in the sand. The stock yfz450 tire looks very simular but I don't know if they hook as well. They have more knobs and less space between the knobs. The 88 89 250r stock rear is also stock on some ds650's.I have a lot of fast seat time in the dunes with the ohtsu.I don't think you can go wrong with them.

i met a guy at the dunes in vegas with a dale that had stock 400 tires and he said he wont even consider paddles... myself i cant stand anything in the sand but paddles, but if you cant have them i would get a set of fresh stockers
