no baffle

has anyone ever taken the baffle out of their 300ex or 400ex...if so is it too incredibly loud? i recently did it and their is 4 layers of steel baffles, we had to cut the canister iff then weld it back on....i havent had a chance to put it on and hear it yet.:devil

i took mine out on my 250ex. its loud and it crackles. kinda sounds like a piece of junk. but we all have our opinions.

did you have to saw through all of the baffles? also, did you have to re-jet it?

you talking about the sparkarrestor/baffle? i took mine out the other day just because i was bored. was loud, if it was re-jeted for the conditions it would have ran well, but it backfired a few times and was runing poor so i put it back on.

After taking baffles out of everything 250ex, 250x, 300ex, ad 400ex. I cam to the conclusion that the 250x and 300ex is hte only bikes i would take hte baffle out.
