What steering stabilizer does eveybody run on their 450r? Does anybody run two gibsons or dentons on their bike? If so, could you attach some pics. Also, does anybody know were the PEP mounts on the 450r?

the PEP mounts about a foot infront of ur peg on the right side on the frame rail.

if you have a aftermarket stem u will have to get a 250r clamp. The stabilizer is VERY tight

is there a better place to get them than ebay? What's the cheapest best one? I was thinking the denton non rebuildable

i weigh 125 pounds, 5'6" and i don't have one yet. i'm out there killing myself every corner. the bars rip are all over the place. i'm getting sick of it. i can't wait to get a stabilizer. what's the cheapest? i don't care about performance wise, they all do the same thing and they're adjustable. thanks.

I have a brand new pep that I used once that I will sell if anyone is interested. It is non-adjustable but has the rebuild kit. paid 160 on e-bay will sell for 130shipped. nothing wrong with it just a little too stiff for me

i run a stick style also. I want to get the precision dampner over winter though. its supposed to be the best on the market.
its designed specifically for atv's :D
but like everyone said any stabilizer will make a huge difference

The top pros like Natalie little Farr Spader Byrd all ran the dual stabilizers until the Precision came out now they all run it. The thing is incredible. Holds great lines with no bar rip even on the roughest conditions.

www.precision-rp.com (http://www.precision-rp.com)

I think it's the September issue of ATVSPORT has a review

if you search yahoo with "precison stabilizer" you get some good stuff.

I got my Precision and used it for the first time this past weekend and it beats every other stabilizer out there hands down. Plus you dont use the effort to steer the bars but the protection from bar rip is still there. It is worth the money for sure. If you dont have the money now then wait save and then buy one dont cheap out and get a stick dampner you wont regret it.

For $500 it better steer the quad for you and drive your truck on the way home so you can sleep.

Ride one with it and you wont want to ride one without it. I'll put it this way when you buy a standard stick stabilizer install it, ride with it, you really dont know how much it actually did till you ride without it . Well ride with the precision then put your stick dampner or even dual stick dampners back on and it will be like riding with basically nothing all over again.

But hey this is only my opinion so take it for what its worth $.02
But I have ridden with it.

I'll agree with you....My dad picked up one and let me tell you it works great. When I was riding it I actually thought he had a flat because the thing was working that good. It was a rough track and the bars were actually moving to stay straight! You literally just had to sit back and let it work instead of you holding on so hard. I have now ordered one for my quad. Its worth every single penny.

i would shove out the extra 50 bucks and get the rebuildable. mine is about 8 months old and prolly needs rebuilding in about a month or so. And i only ride about 4 hours a week tops.

no way am I paying $489 for a steering stabilizer. I'll be getting me a Pep most likely off ebay

mixmastermike, don't buy one off e-bay. I have one that is practicaly brand new. I can't take 100 for it though. that has been offered many times. I can't lose 60 bucks on this thing when it's still brand new. I might could do 120 if that will work for you.

give me an address to send the money to either paypal or personal check

I like the PEPs we run, yet to try a Precision though..The PEP is easy(inside hole) or get arm pump in 4 minutes and get Popeye buff in 3 days(outside hole)..More than adjustable.:D

I used to run two Dentons until they blew the oil seals. If you are gonna do it, do it right the first time and buy a Precision Engineering. I just put mine on this past weekend. It is much better than any other that I have had. It will work better than the stick type dampeners and it is serviceable. I wish I would have done this before buying the Denton's. Whatever you buy, make sure it is either a GPR, WER, or Precision Eng. You'll be thankful in a month from now when the stick types are worn out
