Does anyone know if the Kasea 50 has a restrictor plate? If so how hard is it to remove? Would it be better to let a shop do it, or is this something I can do myself? Thanks for all your help.

There is no restrictor plate on the Kasea. However, there is a brass spacer in the carb, that keeps you from getting full throttle.

Not hard at all. To make it easier on yourself remove the air box, disconnect hoses, and remove carb.

1. There are 2 screws on the top of the carb remove those two screws.
2. Now you can pull the top of the carb off.
3. Remove the slide and spring off the throttle cable
4. Remove the brass spacer.
5. Now reassemble back together.
