I read an article with Tim Farr and he said before you do anything else do your suspension. It will help you more than any other mod will. How far you go with it is up to you. The R's stocks suspension isnt bad in comparison to other stock machines. However I changed mine very quickly. If you are not going to race top level you dont need top level suspension but it is nice to have if you can afford it. So I guess i would say suspension is what I would ask santa for.

get your rear shock redone by GTT. It's like 250, and then get a Hotcams 2, or HRC. They are like 150. It'll be a whole new bike...
