So i'm trying to change my back axel bearing, and I can't get the lock bolt off of the axel. It is the thing that is in the splines of the axel that the two lock nuts go on. it is preventing me from getting the brake hub off so I can slide the axel off. Anyone else ever have problems getting this off if so how do you get it to slide off the axel. So far it has been a pain to get pretty much everything off but the wheel hub.

put some lube on it and do a real quick jerk on the nut that locks the axle nut. the lock nut goes down, and the axle nut goes up to loosen them. thats all i can tell ya. anywayz what kind of quad do ya have.

just finished servicing my 02' 400ex's rear end and the trick is to spin the locking nuts against he brak hub theres a c clip on the slines that you need to slide all the way down to the wheel hub then spin the lockign nuts all the way off and the collar thats left jsut shimmies loose and come off. try tapping the axle through it if you have a problem at this point.
