I'm picky when it comes to looks and performance, I have to have both. My quad or bike has to be spotless and polished parts etc, and run as good as I can possibly get it. :p

around here they have a Earl Hall memorial dirt-travck stock car race. This Earl Hall was a farmer that always had a rough looking car but he blew everyone's doors off on the track. So i'd have to say performance.

Appearance is good BUT Performance gets you to the podium..

Its alot cheaper to make it look good than to make it perform good.

Performance first ALWAYS!

Performance...I would much rather have everyone look at my quad and see nothing special...until I ride away. Sleeper quad all the way.

Performance first. If you put the right performance parts on, the appearance comes along with it. Plastics are gonna get trashed, so just keep em clean live with scratches and scuffs. They add character.

gotta have both. but i've done mostly looks on my new bike.

most of the looks comes easy when you polish and pc all your own parts tho :D and of course it helps when you have a sweet lookin quad to start with :macho

yfz= looks & performance :blah:

I say appearance, with a few exceptions. Of course, everybody is asking themselves "WTF is Wilkin talking about?"

Performance should be your first upgrades, the basic stuff. Pipes, maybe some motor work, suspension. You gotta cover the basics, first.

However, once you are faster than stock, looks become more important, unless you actually live your life by the performance of your machine (like a pro racer). I derive more pleasure out of the total package, looks plus speed, than I do by speed alone. I would MUCH rather have a 35hp 416EX fully dressed and decked-out over a 45hp 500EX that looks like crap.

I like my machine. When it looks good, I look good. I would prefer "nice lookin machine, very nice" instead of "well, he's fast, but looks like dog $#!+."

Um performance. If you have a fast looking quad you better be able to back it up. Performance I'd pick any day
