What are the valve clearance specs exhaust, intake, decompression for the HRC cam?

i believe its .006 intake, .009 exhaust, and .015 decompression

I was thinking HRC numbers are:
Intake .16 +/-.03
Exhaust .28 +/-.03
Decompressor .25 +/-.02

Factory cam is different...

THis sounds better. Does anyone have their HRC manual that can look it up for me?

I see, OKTRX450r, your going in mm and im going in standard measurements. .16 is somewhere betwen .006 and .007 standard. .28 is just barely over .011 and .25 is just under .010

just converting standard to metric to help clear my head

This is from the HRC manual.

Intake: 0.16 +/- 0.03 mm (0.006 +/- 0.001 in)

Exhaust: 0.28 +/- 0.03 mm (0.011 +/- 0.001 in)

Decompressor clearance:
Adjusted exhaust valve clearance + 0.25 +/- 0.02 mm (0.010 +/- 0.0008 in)

so basically i said its .009 (standard) when its .011. So i was a bit tighter than spec.

This Johnson 400/375 grind cam has the clearance super tight at .006 intake AND .006 for the exhaust!

by the way, the hrc and the stock cam should have the same clearance.

They do not have the same specs. I have a factory service manual and a HRC istallation manual(lost somewhere in the garage) and I remember they are different.

well then you must have a different trx450r competition kit setup manual than i do. it says the same clearance for intake and exhaust with both honda cams. the decompressor clearance is different though

My HRC kit manual lists different specs then the factory service manual...so yes, we must have different manuals.

my 450r competition kit manual for the HRC cam states the exact same clearances as 29ftex said. my my honda service manual says the exact same thing for intake and exhaust valve clearance for the stock cam. however, the decompression clearance is supposed to be the right side exhaust valve clearance + 0.15 mm (0.006 in) for the stock cam
