Rear sproket and chain problem??

yeah so i hooked up my new 38 rear and 14 tooth sprokets today with a x-ring chain..and i had to take some of the links out and blah blah....well its all on good but when i spin the tires around..some of the links dont match up with the rear sproket?...it works when i tighten the chain alot..but its not suppoed to be that tight...anyone have a clue wat im saying?..i need help

Did you replace both sprockets and the chain with new ones?

Is the rear sprocket seated even the the hub?
