My friend has a 350X in 250R frame. It needs new main jet cuz its cutting out on 3/4 throttle. The owner before him didnt rejet when he took the lid off of the airbox. Everything is stock even the pipe. What main jet should we run? 140?Right now theres a 138 in it.

if it is stock,even with the airbox lid off it should still pull well.i would make sure the float level is properly set.i dont think the lid would make it fall on its face at 3/4throttle even if it is a lil'lean.if not try one size bigger on the main and go from there:)

when gettiing to a workign point.. I increase or decrease by 5's. Once it runs well.. I fine tune with the 2.5 incremets.

If it's cutting out at 3/4 get a 145 and a 150. Once you get some sputtering back down a size.
