Cuttin holes in top of TRX 90 airbox?

I have heard of people cutting wholes in the top of their kids TRX 90? is this ture that you can do that? and if so how many and how wide?

i just ride rec. i ride around in large feilds and trails for speed.

Get the small one inch uni filters and cut 5 one inch holes in the lid and install them or just take the lid off.
