I need a little help, I have a 400ex wtih a K&N air filter and stock air box with lid on and stock head pipe. The two slip-ons I'm considering at the moment are HMF and Yoshimura slip-ons. I want good low-end and mid-range over top-end. If you have any other suggestions I'm looking for a slip-on in the $200 range. Thanks!

Id say sparks, but either one of your choices will work. In your shoes, I would go with hmf

The HMF is definitely what you want. My uncle has the yoshi, and likes my hmf better. The HMF has a lot more low end, but it doesn't give much, if any, more on top. The yoshi was like stock for low end, but really helped the engine build more power from midrange to the rev limiter.

HMF and go with the stainless, because with black you will see every dent or scrath on it. And at least with stainless you wont see it that well
